Why EMDR therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is one of the best-indicated treatment methods for people pursuing real change. Many of my clients find out about EMDR therapy after years of making little to no progress in talk therapy. They’ve learned some coping skills, they know themselves a little better, but they’re still dealing with symptoms that disrupt everyday life.
EMDR therapy doesn’t just help you feel better. It helps you be better. Using EMDR, we can heal bad habits, toxic relationship patterns and negative self-talk. It can help alleviate intense fear from phobias, remove barriers to peak performance and even loosen the grip of perfectionism.
EMDR is a structured therapy with phases and protocols. My high-achieving clients love it because it’s not a “throw sh*t at the wall and see what sticks” approach. It requires measurable goals and delivers effective results.
EMDR therapy is for you if:
✅You want to make changes quickly and effectively
✅You like to work with clear, measurable goals
✅You show up to do the work
EMDR therapy is not for you if
❌You want to be in therapy forever
❌You’re not ready to change
❌You just want to come to therapy to vent
What most of my new EMDR clients tell me:
“I've been in therapy but didn’t really get anywhere”
“I’m not sure what’s wrong with me”
“I have coping skills but they don’t work”
“I just can’t stop thinking about it even though it happened so long ago”
“I’m stuck and I don’t know why”
You're a good fit for EMDR therapy if you're ready to heal from burnout, perfectionism and self-abandonment. You want to feel confident and start trusting yourself again. You show up to therapy ready for change.
